Television is something that is in every home, it has been saving lives of children, bored adults, jobless teenagers. A simple object of desire in our homes, we have all had that experience where we are so distracted by the tv that we do not even hear our own names. Television comes in various sizes, and while it known for keeping boredom at bay, there are alot of benefits that come with televisions, from entertainment to education and so much more.

There are also a  number of side effects that come with watching that favourite show or news program and they are all bad for your health, here are a couple of them.c

Leads to inactivity: There are health hazards that come with sitting in front of the TV. Watching tv involves being inactive for a while, and being inactive has been associated with obesity and heart disease.

Feeds false information: Everyone has at one point in time sat infront of the television and complained about the quality of information that comes from the tv. It appears to portray the illusion of reality, making it easier to believe. Since seeing is believing, it’s what you watch that you believe, and most of the information is inaccurate.

Hinders the brains ability to think: Another amazingly harmful effect of watching television is the fact it can hinder our ability to think. Since we are constantly waching people giving us information, opinions and thoughts. It basically hinders the brains ability to think.

Gradually kills the eyes: The eyes are very essential to the body, prolonged exposure to the television exposes the eyes, as too much light which in turn harms your retina. Often times we prefer to watch movies in the dark, the brightness of the TV would adversely affect your eyes.

Any good television show comes with it plus sides, but in the long run, it is bad for your health.
