Maybe at the start of the year, your plan was to rid your life of all the unnecessary negative people in it. Would it not be “kinda” ironic if you’re the one with all the negative energy you’ve been complaining about? Perhaps it’s very bad that it’s beginning to affect your personal relationships? Doing a criticism of one’s self is one of the hardest things to do but don’t give up on yourself just yet. The first step to solving a problem is identifying it, and so, here are a few signs that show whether or not you are a negative person.
ALL YOUR PROBLEMS ARE ANOTHER PERSON’S FAULT.
Once something goes wrong, it’s never your fault, everyone else is at fault and yet you seem to be the immaculate one (that never makes mistakes). This is most often a distinguishing feature of being a negative person, as it’s largely selfish and comes with the disadvantage of alienating people.
TALKING BEHIND PEOPLE’S BACKS.
Not all gossips have a negative attitude. If you’re always gossiping instead of being willing and able to discuss problems with people when necessary, then it’s safe to say that you’re a toxic person. Especially if they are your “friends”, as being able to discuss your problems is the mark of a mature adult.
YOU TAKE MORE THAN YOU GIVE.
You have a tendency to only remember people when you need a favour from them, or are in trouble. After which you ignore their existence and disappear when it’s time to return the favor, time to face reality and accept that you are a negative person in their lives.
ONLY YOUR OPINION MATTERS.
It is always good to hold onto your opinions in the process of arguing or basically anything that has to do with opinions, however, if you cannot hear another side’s story, there lies a huge problem. Being stubborn and close-minded makes somebody a challenge to be around, and if this is you, eventually friends and family might decide that you’re not worth the stress.
If you’re the person who’s always surrounded by drama, there’s a good chance that you’re the person causing it. At a certain point, you have to ask yourself how much “bad luck” can really account for your problems. You may be toying with people for your own amusement without being aware of your behavior.
