3 Affordable Foundations for Oily Skin

All the oily skinned sisters in the house get in here, this post is for you. I know the struggle of dabbing your forehead, chin, cheeks and nose every time because to remove shine. Mine gets to a point where you can use the oil off my face to fry dodo, yes I’m serious.

Anyways, makeup companies have decided to come to our rescue by producing foundations that are good for oily skin and I’m here to present them to you in no particular order.

  1. Maybelline Fit me Matte + Poreless Foundation: This mattifying foundation has high water content for increased comfort and an oil-free face. The good thing about it is that it instantly absorbs sweat and oil without disturbing color pigments. The last time I bought it for about N5,500 at Stella’s Addiction to Lagos. Right now I’m not sure how much it’ll cost but I know it was okay when I used it.
  • Rimmel London Stay Matte Foundation: This foundation has been said to have a smooth, matte finish of a setting powder. Although I’m not sure if you can find it anywhere in Nigeria yet. If you have seen it though don’t forget to drop your comments on where we can get our hands on it. It goes for £5.99 in UK stores.
  • Revlon Colour Stay Foundation: This one is an absolute favorite of most celebrity makeup artists and mostly anyone that has been able to get their hands on it. It has an oil-control formula that makes it good for both oily and combination skin. I remember liking it the last time I used it but I’m not sure why I stopped. It’s time to give it another try and it goes for £13. I don’t know how much it is in Nigeria but I know you don’t need to break the bank to get it.

However, to get the best look out of your makeup and keep your makeup longer and your face shine-free, other things are involved. It is advisable to start off with a face primer, preferably a matte primer, and finish off with a setting spray.
